During the next couple of days, we took it relatively easy. We visited with family. Maria got a chance to ride her cousin's hors. While she did so, Debbie and Marco took a little drive around the area. Talia was staying home, because she was 'hung over' from her disco dancing experience the previous night., She stayed out until 5 AM and enjoyed the Dutch nightlife with her cousin Lex. We are still not sure what happened, but apparently she made a great impression on one of  Lex's friends, who wrote her several e-mails after she went back to the USA... On Monday, we took one day and visited the old Dutch town of 'Hineloopen'. After this, we drove on and visited the cute little town of 'Giethoorn', where cars cannot drive, rather little boats maneuver through the little canals and under the small foot-bridges. Finally, we drive back past the ancient graves (~400 AD) called the 'Hunnebedden'. On Tuesday, we took it very easy. Did some shopping and ended the day, by having desert with many of our family members at the 'Witte Huis', where many of them were staying. Poor Maria did not have too much fun balancing her ice cream as we decided to create a bigger circle to accommodate all of the family members present. The ice cream bit the dust (well, actually it kissed the the ground that is..). But fortunately, she got a new one to replace it and all was well.... :).
